Problem Note 63076: The SCD Type 2 Loader transformation does not apply target-table options to intermediate tables that are created for SQL pass-through processing

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS® Data Integration Studio, when the Structured Query Language (SQL) pass-through option is set to Yes for the Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) Type 2 Loader transformation, temporary database tables are created to stage data. These temporary tables are created before in-database processing occurs. Table options that are associated with the database target table are not applied to these temporary database tables. When a mismatch between tables occurs due to these missing table options, various errors can appear in the SAS log.

The workaround is to take these steps:

  1. On the Code tab in the Properties window for the transformation where the issue occurs, change the selection for the Code generation mode field from Automatic to User written body
  2. Add the table options to the table creation code for the temporary database tables.
  3. Click OK to save the changes.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

The fix provides additional table option fields for each of the temporary database tables when the SQL pass-through option is set to Yes.
